Valaurie Bridges Lee
Valaurie is the CEO and President of VB Consulting, an IT software consulting company established in 2002. VB Consulting specializes in assisting colleges and universities with software implementations as well as IT support services. In 2010, VB Consulting expanded globally, offering consulting services in both the United States and Canada.
Prior to establishing her own company, Valaurie worked for several Fortune 500 Companies including Waste Management, Oracle (PeopleSoft), and IBM. Using the skills and knowledge she learned from these major companies, she established her own company, VB Consulting, and has been a successful entrepreneur for 18 years.
Valaurie attended the University of Georgia where she received a BA in Journalism and Public Relations. She went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Management Technology from Kennesaw State University. Valaurie is the recipient of the Woodward Academy Distinguished Alumni Award for her outstanding accomplishments as a business owner and contributions to the school.
In addition to being an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, she is Project Management certified, also a certified member of Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (MBE), Debutantes for Christ Mentor and Program Coordinator, Woodward Academy Alumni Board, and Board Member for Women After God’s Own Heart Ministries. She was also an adjunct professor at Clayton State University where she taught Management and Entrepreneurship. Valaurie is a major sponsor and supporter of Sister’s By Choice cancer research programs through New Life Presbyterian Church. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching Zumba, shopping, reading, and spending time with her two daughters.
