Valaurie Bridges Lee

Founder

A serial entrepreneur, Valaurie Bridges Lee is the CEO and President of VB Consulting, an IT software consulting firm established in 2002. VB Consulting specializes in assisting colleges and universities with software implementations as well as IT support services. In 2010, VB Consulting expanded globally, offering consulting services in both the United States and Canada. VB Consulting has worked with colleges such as University of Central Florida, Arizona State University, Harvard University, Stanford, Emory University, Cal State LA, Los Rios Community College and a host of others. She is also the President of Building Bridges Holding Company, The Wellness Spot (Fitness & Day Spa) and PopShopolis On Main (Pop Up Shop & Events).

Prior to establishing her own company, Valaurie worked for several Fortune 500 Companies including Waste Management, IBM and Oracle (PeopleSoft). Using the skills and knowledge she learned from these major companies, she established her own company, VB Consulting, and has been a successful entrepreneur for over 18 years.  

A Georgia Bulldog, Valaurie graduated in 1994 from the University of Georgia where she received a BA in Journalism and Public Relations. She went on to pursue her Master’s Degree in Management Technology from Southern Polytechnic University, now Kennesaw State University. She currently is a doctoral candidate at Georgia State University, scheduled to graduate in 2023. Valaurie has received many awards and is recognized for her philanthropic work with donating over $200K to the Twenty Pearls Foundation for educational scholarships, Sisters By Choice (cancer research programs through New Life Presbyterian Church), Debutantes for Christ, and Women After God’s Own Heart Ministries, where is has served on the board for 2 years and was one of the charter members. As a new property owner and business owner in College Park, GA, she is very involved with her alma mater- Woodward Academy, where she graduated and her two teens attend. A charter member of the Black Alumni Association, she was also the recipient of the Woodward Academy Distinguished Alumni Award for her outstanding accomplishments contributions to the school. 

In addition to being an active member of (AKA) Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., she is Project Management certified, also a certified member of Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE), Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (MBE), Valaurie also worked as an adjunct professor at Clayton State University where she taught Management and Entrepreneurship. As an ordained elder at New Life Presbyterian church, she is responsible for Spiritual Formation, Youth Church and Personnel. In her “spare time,” she enjoys candle- light Pilates, shopping, reading, and spending time with her two teen daughters, Baileigh 15 and Blaire 14.
