Tanya Hughes

Tanya graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (Marketing, Communication and Sociology).  She went on to receive her Global MBA at Thunderbird School of Global Management.  She is presently employed as a Partner at Guidehouse-A Next Generation Consultancy. She is also a certified Coach specializing in helping individuals and businesses breakthrough to new levels of success in their businesses and life.

With over 20 years of experience in Financial Services Technology, Tanya is responsible for the technology enablement and solutions assisting financial services clients.  Tanya has worked with some of the nation’s largest technology companies :  American Express, JPMorgan Chase and Capital One to name a few. 

Tanya started Activate International, LLC —  a consulting, coaching, training and development company whose mission is to activate potential and help individuals, businesses and organizations transform.   Her passion to help women develop personally and professionally was also the catalyst for her starting Red Pump Nation, a non-profit organization.

As an Olympic High Jumper she understands the discipline and hard work it takes to compete at the highest level of sport. She received a full athletic scholarship to attend the University of Arizona in Tucson and is a member of their Hall of Fame.   Tanya was a four-time NCAA Champion, American Jr. and NCAA record-holder; two-time U.S. National Champion and a member of the 1992 U.S. Olympic Team. She is an active member of the USOC Olympian Speaker’s Bureau and continues to share the Olympic principles and ideals with children and adults alike.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Institute for Sport and Social Justice and the University of Arizona Foundation National Leadership Council.
